Wouldn't this make a good premise for an episode of the show? Pinkie Pie feels like she needs to have more self-control, so she asks Fluttershy for help.
I don't know what lesson can be learned from it, but I haven't given it any more thought than that.

My thoughts:
First I see the title: "Cut down on those Mint-als!" (Fallout:Equestria)
Then I see what it is: "Now that's adorable."
Then I read the description: "Well now... Pinkie feels like she needs to blurt out a secret." (5x19)
Of course, she never consults Fluttershy, but close enough.

that being your hyper active self is perfectly fine but in some cases you have to show a lot of self control to make those around you comfortable, perhaps?
