It's the best rendering of Thing I've ever seen. I recognized him instantly, even in small view. I doubt if there's a better portrait of Thing in existence.
Hehe. Actually, I've been working on a hand and found they are very complex and difficult to render. As a hand study this is excellent.I can see you took great care in sorting out all the different kinds of surfaces and forms that make up a hand.

Thanks, I had a picture of Thing so I tried to get close to the actual guys hand. Already a member of PPA and have submitted it but haven't heard back and thats how the idea came about.

I was just having fun over the fact that a person could draw just about any adult male hand and no one would know if it was the real Thing or not.
Regardless, I think this is a very creative choice for the contest and I hope it does well.
