I really approved of how they handled Spitfire and the other Wonderbolts at the academy. Β It was a pleasant reminder that the REAF Air Demonstration Team are still military officers, even though we have only seen them activated for one sortie (to stop Spikezilla). Β What I want to know, however, is how the heck does she put on that uniform? Β A buttoned shirt and jacket and a clip-on tie (possibly real, but it looks like a clip-on in the show) do not seem like clothes that would be invented by an ungulate society.

For the same reason that ponies read books with thin pages, build their houses with doorknobs at simian-waist height, and have tools with handles clearly meant to be manipulated with digits: clearly their entire civilization is built on the ruins of an extinct humanity.
