More of this silly universe. Not only does Filly Lyra walks into Filly Twilight's house, she also sits on her bed, holds Smarty Pants, and stuffs herself with chocolate.Either Twilight is so into what she's reading or she's thinking, "Just ignore her and maybe she'll go away..."

*As Lyra sat on the bed, chewing on a white chocolate flecked chocolate bar, Twilight sat on the floor, reading the open book in front of her intently. Today was the day for their weekly study session, although Twilight was doing most if not all of the studying, while Lyra was more often then not just somepony to bounce ideas off of. Lyra was fine with this. She never saw a future for herself in Arcane studies anyway.*
"Now, it says here that when changing one thing into another, the original object's mass is not re-used in the spell, and nopony has ever been able to figure out where it goes. I wonder...." Twilight said, putting a hoof to her chin in thought.
"Maybe it just goes somewhere else where it's needed." Lyra said simply.
"Yes, but where? Maybe into another part of Equestria. I bet I can place a tracker emblem onto something to test it. Now, where was that spell..."
*Twilight then brought a stack of books and started skimming through them brusquely. Lyra let out a small sigh. She knew Twilight would focus on nothing else if she didn't act soon. So Lyra did the only thing she knew would snap her out of it. Looking towards the end of the bed, she cast her magic over Twilights smarty pants doll and floated it right in front of Twilight, who let out a small gasp at the sudden intrusion. Smarty pants floated there for a moment before lifting one of its hooves and booping Twilight on the nose. Twilight looked over at Lyra who had a small grin on her face.*
"I guess I was getting a bit off topic." She said with a small sheepish smile.
*Lyra simply floated smartypants next to her as Twilight put all of the extra books back and went back to her studies. Lyra took another bite of chocolate, more then content on keeping her studious friend on track for the rest of the night.*
TL;DR Version: This is my version of a backstory. Go read it, it ain't THAT long.

She's like that kid who you are stuck with because you are both kids so the parents think you'll get along, but the kid is a much younger kid than you are; so you spend hours avoiding them
