I would have to say that it would evolve into the original series version, since for now it's a prequel rather than a reboot.

Actually, it's more of a reboot than a prequel.

In this film, two of the character (Old Spock and Nero)are from the early 25th century (post TNG movies) and they travel back in time, this new film takes place in an alternate timeline, therefore, the evolution of it's designs and tech will be different than TOS.

Actually, according to Star Trek Countdown, the setting that Old Spock and Nero are from, is eight years after Star Trek Nemesis, placing them in late 24th Century.
I will concede to the fact that Old Spock and Nero ended up getting sucked into an artificial black hole, and travel to an alternate timeline, since that seems to happen all the time in Star Trek.
