This is so easy to understand! I haven't found any other art tutorials that explain why certain things are such (like coloring or rendering) so I'm glad I found you. :3

I do love how simple these are to follow. You've put together a very nice tutorial without overloading it with unnecessary and overwhelming information. Congrats!

Thank you so much for making these tutorials - especially the explanation about the use of saturation.

Thank you so much! I am right at the level in my art learnings where I begin to notice and think about these things. I've been looking for the information and this is better than any of the books I've found! You should make a book with your tutorials! I would buy it.

Quick note, 'critial' should be 'critical I believe. Other than that sound little illustration. Get's the point across really well! Something to note about the 'values' though. Usually there's no 100%white/black while/when doing 'values' unless it's a really really dark/light spot and even than it's usually 90-95 not actually 100, at least from what I have seen and read up on.

Nice catch - fixed. True words on generally avoiding the 100% darks/lights.

Ah, cool! Yea, kind of amazing how many don't know that little piece of information and can usually fix a lot of peoples photo's(gotta love messing with curves and seeing how interesting you can make a photo with a few sliders) as well as paintings/drawings.
