Here's the final results of the Halo inspired Nerf Centurion. Yep, it started as a Gears of War "Longshot" prop, but that project fell through so I made some changes to the theme! I still have the weathering to do on the bipod and magazine, but those could be newly-added bits, right? heheJust a few details on the paintjob are that all the graphics were done with stencils so they're actually paint and not vinyl or waterslide transfer paper. If you click into the photo you should get a better view of the mini-details that really took a lot of time and patience of the gods! (the small areas inside the lettering for example). There's also quite a bit of masking that was done despite it looking somewhat monochromatic. I felt it added a lot to the realism and therefore was worth the time. I hope you guys enjoy the photo

I actually did use the airbrush on this one! I needed a color that wasn't available in can form, so I gave it a try and it really did come out the way I was hoping. Thanks for noticing as well as the nice comment!

No problem at all! This was a customized Nerf rifle (the Centurion) that I did, using just paint to make it look quite a bit different from it's stock counterpart. I did make a few cosmetic changes, but they were mostly minor and not something you'd immediately notice without being a Nerf fan, hehe. As for the other things in my gallery, they're a real mixture of wood. metal, PVC, plastics and resins. I do use a lot of parts from existing guns and objects, mainly because it's a lot easier than building from scratch. It's also a lot less expensive compared to scratch fabrication

I honestly don't post as many of the airsoft and never with the real guns. If you search through the gallery there should be some mixed in and I'll make sure to post more of the realistic stuff if you guys would like to see that as well

I just bought a Centurion a couple days ago and thought of you; if you had converted one of these yet. Looks like you did!
Just curious... are these guns able to shoot still after you do these adjustments? I'd like to mod the Centurion (just so it can get a little more distance) but I am afraid to take these things apart.

Good to see ya on here, bud! I would watch some youtube videos that show the disassembly before you take a crack at it. The new nerf have a lot more going on inside and you could potentially mess something up if you're not aware of the pitfalls ahead. I generally leave mine functional (this one just requires that the suppressor be taken off), but I don't do internal power mods since they're more for cosplay and display than heavy nerfing
