Practice makes perfect. I've been chanting that for like a week now and still no luck on dry brushing. I know it takes time but even a remote sign of improvement would be nice. >.>
But as always love the paint job, though I'm not as big of a fan of Spectre silencer as others. Personal preference.
And yeah either friends or ebay are now the only ways to get Longshots now, that and like flea markets and yard sales if you are lucky.

Yes, practice is always key. I should probably be better at it with the hours I've put in, but I've made so many at this point that I just know I'll get better with each one..or I should say I *hope* I do. There's always room for improvement and that probably my favorite aspect
I have about 4 of the longshots in my backstock, but ya, it's going to get more difficult to find em. Thats a real shame.

I own one (lancer) and the Ultimum Totale's base was supplied by a friend.
The only other one I know is in existence is owned by another friend of mine but he backed out of letting me but it.
I think Hasbro should do a revival or limited time thing with the longshot.

well since the aussie dollar is the same as the american dollar, chances are i'll be overpaying for everything. But i got the stampede for 70 bucks so i was alright with that

That's not too bad for the Stampede. The best I've paid is $44.00 at either target or walmart when they're on sale. I tend to stock up on them at that price, usually get 5 or so at a time. I'm the "nerf gun guy" in most stores I visit

Man, I swear the longshot has just got to be the coolest nerf gun out there to paint. It's almost impossible to come up with a paint scheme and not have it look awesome. Not to say that this isn't a great paint job, this is very good, the texture especially gives it that extra punch for that worn out, maybe desert-style look. Top notch.

Yeah, lots of stores don't have it as a part of their active inventory anymore. It is, in most stores, discontinued.

Thank you Doc! Yeah, I agree these are fantastic. I just picked up a set of 5(!) on ebay for $50.00. Those are going to be test subjects on some new painting techniques I'm working on. One of which is going to have color-shift paint on parts of the shielding. I hope it looks cool because the paint is about 100.00 a gallon, yesh!
