It's finally here!!! Blender 2.80 is finally here!!!
So a new version of XPS tools is necessary for this version of blender.
XPS tools 2.0.0 only work in Blender 2.80. so make sure you download the version of the addon for the version of Blender you want to use.
Blender 2.80 ==> v2.0.0
Blender 2.79 ==> v1.8.7
Change Log.
Not much difference with previous versions of the addon, mostly API changes.
The biggest change is that the addon no longer export materials to XPS. Why?
In blender 2.80 Internal materials is gone (F for blender internal), all materials are done with nodes. This makes more difficult to export the material, other exporters have the same issue.
So you will need to rebuild the material using XNALara/XPSs material editor (Ctrl+T)

Each File is a different version of the addon. Recommend to just download the latest.
RenderGroupTester.zip is a model that displays all the rendergroups in the same model, it as also been updated to include the recent changes in the RGs.

It seems to be a problem in python when trying to get the username.
Maybe the enviroment variable USERNAME is not set?

In the end it seems that it was the fault of a virus that infected chrome and I don't know why it also affected blender. But since I eliminated it, it served again well, but thanks for answer

this seems to just lose all textures in blender 2.81 after exporting

It was a known limitation in the new Blender 2.80+
The new Release of the addon (2.0.2) fixed this.

Yes i use version 2.0.0 on Blender 2.81 steam version import .xps file is fine just active backface culling and you good to go for render in blender.

Hi. Is it possible to auto-rename bones with this plugin?
For example to rename
leg left thigh
leg right thigh
to:
leg thigh.l
leg thigh.r
etc..
I just realized I have to rename all the bones in order to mirror the pose in blender (with CTRL+C and CTRL+SHITF+V)

I noticed a bug. I don't know if it's the plugin or Blender itself, but once I use the import feature to import an XPS pose, no further changes will be saved with the file. Any posing I do in blender is not saved with the .blend file. If I save my project and then open it again the pose is lost. It reverts back to what it was when I imported it.

That is how blender works.
When the addon imports a pose it creates a keyframe. If you what to change the pose then you need to either:
-Delete all the keyframe
-Create a new keyframe

Hello, I really love your scripts. I've used them for about 5 years now. The last one for Blender 2.79 worked like a charm. But for some reason, there's a string of errors in loading this one for 2.8. Now, it could be just a bug of some weird sort. When I added the plugin, these popped up. Then it wouldn't load in preferences after that. I figured I'd let you know, just in case anyone else is having issues. Hopefully, it's a quick workaround in changing some of the python syntaxes.

Are you using the final release of blender 2.80?
Also recommend using the release version 2.0.0 of the addon instead of the master branch, just in case.
If you used beta versions of the addon or blender 2.80 try uninstalling them first.

I fixed it! Wow, was that a heck of a workaround. So I went into the properties on each py file, then unblocked every single one. Then I ran Blender as an administrator, enabled the addon. Poof! It works. No more errors.
