Description
This is an illustration to go with my fan fiction. It is a crossover fic between the Vampire Chronicles and Inuyasha, set in present day.This image is from the second chapter.

Story Summary : Set in the present day, Sesshoumaru seeks refuge from the world of humans in a remote locale and makes an unexpected and extraordinary discovery.
EDIT: I adjusted the shading on Sesshy's fingers and lightened the background a touch so you can see the tapestries on the wall. The light part on the wall is a reflection of the candle flame on the ice. Hope his hand looks better now!

haha yeah, I started that story back in January of 2006 so it's been a really long time. I'm no longer into Inuyasha or the Vampire Chronicles (haven't been for yearssss now), and writing doesn't come naturally to me, either. I got so close to the end, too!

Sooo....that's the white fur that is alive, eh...? The way you drew him here, it looks like he's caressing the fur...I really love this piece. It's just full of details, and everything is just right. I love his expression, the way he carries his body, he is so relaxed, and yet intently reading his book. What, pray tell, is he reading, anyway?

Yes, he's petting Mokomoko-sama. I think it gives him comfort. He's probably been with it since he was little, so I think it would be really cute if he still snuggled with it in present day (the great and powerful Sesshoumaru-sama having what amounts to a security blanket.... although it is much more than just that!)
I'm so glad you like this picture! Yes, he's really into the book he found in the vampire's library. It's an account of one of the Crusades, and Sessh would be into the conquering knight/warrior angle very much.

I think now that everyone is about to be absorbed in the Superbowl, that I'll actually have a moment of peace and quiet to myself. I'm going to dl and print the stories and cuddle up in my room. I'll let you know what I think when I'm finished, ok?

I won't even pretend to know anything about InuYasha but that guy has cool hair! He looks quite hauty and... masculine, even with the pink eye-shadow, long hair and crossed legs!

OMG...This is extemely beautiful! The play of the shadows and lights, the sweet and calm face of Sesshomaru...everything. Is a very interesting concept, I must read it sometime.
He look like a beautiful vampire here, but not as a commont vampire, I mean a very very old and special one. I have no words, just...you're the best

I'm very happy that you like it, I tried to make the lighting as realistic as possible without obsuring Sessh as the main part of the drawing.
If you read the story, Sessh isn't a vampire - he just meets one and has some vampire sex... but to become a vampire would limit him immeasurably. He's more powerful as he is!

Nice picture, Jo. Sessh looks like he's totally into whatever kind of book he's reading, although I don't recall ever seeing him read in the series at all. He just enters an episode and instantly masters anything he's interested in.

Yeah I'm sure there is more to his character, but he mastered Tetsiga, Tetsaga and that ogre teeth sword without training. You know what I'm saying? He shows up when all the characters are saying "No one can use that sword...oh no Seeshumaro is here....ahh! He mastered the sword!"
All we ever see is Inuyasha training.
Perhaps there's an idea in that for another picture...hint hint...Sessh training...nudge nudge

It's a present-day crossover between Inuyasha and Vampire Chronicles and Sesshoumaru is in the lair of a vampire (but he doesn't know whose place it is)

Thanks so much! I really feel like I could have spent so much more time into making the shading so much better. I didn't want his face in shadow so I made it 2 light sources... which is the way it is in the story anyway... but the light isn't yellow.... Ahh well I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but just not enough to bother this time around!
