What would happen if you used one of these vampire-making artifacts ? When wearing this mask and pouring blood on it, it shall pierce the wearer's brain and ''unlock its potential'', transforming it into a Vampire. This type of vampires possess a set of supernatural abilities like superhuman strength and agility (Punch through brick walls, run as fast as a cheetah and jump up to four meters in the air), heightened senses, regeneration, blood-sucking tentacles at their fingers, near-immortality (Including immunity to all known diseases) and don't require air to survive. On top of that, talented vampires are capable of manipulating their bodies in creative and unique ways, allowing them to access more bizarre powers like shoot pressurized fluid jets from their eyes (Strong enough to cut cleanly through stone), control the mind of others (Either through a hypnotic glare or implanting ''flesh buds'' on their brains), enter a hibernation-like state to survive in extreme conditions (DIO did that for approximately 100 years), freeze enemies with a touch, spit their fangs like high-speed projectiles and even transform people into vampires without a Stone Mask by injecting them with their ''vampiric essence''.

In terms of weaknesses, vampires can be killed by delivering sufficient head trauma (Like destroying the brain), leaving them without blood for a long time and expose them to sunlight, as it will disintegrate them upon contact. In fact, not only natural sunlight, as energies that ressemble it (Like the Ripple) will have the same effect. Vampires are also the origin of another type of undead, Zombies, as those who have their blood sucked out by a vampire and infected with a vampiric extract in the process are turned into zombies. Zombies are known for having a rotting stench, a monster-like appearance, loyalty to their vampire master and an insatiable bloodlust for human flesh. However, besides enhanced strength, speed and losing their sense of pain, zombies lack any special ability like those used by vampires and the same weaknesses also apply to them.

Like humans and animals with unusually strong spiritual power and determination, vampires also can develop and control Stands, which are a reflection of the wielder's spirit (Each person can only have one stand), taking in the form of an invisible ethereal creature and granting a unique ability. Due to their composition, stands are invisible to non-stand users (And those without high spiritual perception) and they can only be harmed by another stand. Like human with stands, not only any damage the stand receives is reflected on its user, but the destruction of the stand will result in death of the user.
