I made this mask a few years ago. A recent discussion with about what can be achieved with papier-mache prompted me to post him here. I wanted him to be quite angular and slabby, like he really was carved out of stone.He was bought by the mayor of my town, to wear at a local Masquerade ball.

You really did bring out that angular, slabby look! Not only that, but the green, mossy hues are a great detail. This is a really great gargoyle (also not too fancy or strange, but somewhat classical).

It's textural paint, which contains sand, I think. It was a real find.
