Shame those fancy drawing stations cost as much as a used car.

Still curio(u)s: what are the prices compared to what used car and in what country?

True, but in Russia, cars often sold without ''technical certification'' papers as if it is a trailer or scrap metal. In newspapers, such cars are sold in "cars for parts" segments for 1000$ for 15 year old BMW 7 series with minor damage so anyone could afford an apartment extension for almost free.

Just saw it today, been keeping up with your comic for a long long time, and may I say it's DAMN satisfying seeing this come full circle!

Appropriate, and a good example of how far your drawing has come.

Yea and the hoverboards. (hoverboards may be closer than you think. We'll have them in about 4 maybe 5 months.)

They have 30 seconds of life.
Even Undertale is lying.
Cave Story is the only story with more or less realistic lifetime of jetpack charge.

But in Cave story who needs a jetpack when the recoil from the machine gun does it better.

Ah. I completely forgot about machine gun's advantages.

dat feels when you go back to analogue and PERMANENT materials and you screw up and your left hand jumps for ctrl+z and its not there so you just fucking breakdown and cry....

elzataerinn In reply to ??? [2017-06-28 06:34:15 +0000 UTC]
Congrats!
And finally Art can use Ctrl + Z for his art stuffs, what an improvement
(PS: Would've loved to see Strip 519 too, but I guess milestone numbers are more important )
And PS, Verrukaiser & Shadow696, agreed. I actually am currently familiarizing myself with digital coloring, but otherwise I still draw linearts with pencil first, feels so natural for me.

Congratulations to you JJ! Holy hell what a milestone! Loving it and all your Aspira arts too!ย
Art has quite the eyebrows. 1,000 strips of growing them!

Jumped in to the comic at 671 in 2012 and then started from the beginning. Congrats on 12 years and 1000 strips of Sequential Art.

Pencil and paper might be old fashioned now, but I still like using them. Tablet's are good for coloring, though.

I notice strip 1000 coming up and was curious to see what you'd do with it. ย I will admit that I was a bit disappointed at first, but seeing this it all makes sense and I love it! ย A most excellent call back! ย Well played!

I had exactly this experience when I took a mechanical drawing course. lead holder in hand, staring at a mistake and thinking the keystroke, then taking a second to realize that paper doesn't work that way.

You've come quite a long distance in...however long it's been since you started your art/comic.
This comic really shows that off.

Funny thing, I use Ctrl+Z so often that when I do something stupid in real life (like eg dropping glass on the floor) my brain hangs for a second on this very strong "press Ctrl-Z" feeling

I have read through these comics a few times from 1 til whatever was current at the time and now I think it is time to do it again. Thank you for the many many many hours of enjoyment!!

The funny thing is that I draw usually on tablet because it's more convenient but when I switch to traditional drawing and make a mistake I literally reach for the CTRL + Z and then go like DOH!
Edit: I still prefer traditional a lot better. It just feels more natural to me.

Do you still use any traditional media or have you graduated to being 100% digital?
