By classic theatrical standards, Rogue One succeeds as a brilliant comedy, in that the plans of the protagonists succeed, though a deeply moving one, in the price paid for that success.
By classic definitions, comedy means the protagonist/s succeed, tragedy is that they fail, and how things become worse for their efforts.Β

It's very possible....as a certified doofus it is my superpower to misunderstand things at will!
I think his comic was implying that there will not be continuing adventures of the Rogue One heroes because (in an attempt to avoid further spoilers on my part by overstating the obvious) of the rather abrupt ending to this film. Β Which, if you follow the franchise closely enough...was kinda my conclusion before I saw the flick. Β And the comic was further implying that the lack of further adventures was "a bummer".
The problem here probably lies in the fact that Jolly Jack is hilarious. Β And a brilliant comic genius. Β Whereas I merely THINK I am hilarious. Β And my subtle and hastily written sarcasm fell flat, like a Millennium Falcon with no hyper drive. Β I was implying that I was disappointed in the film, as I was in the most recent episode 7 cuz I thought they were less than stellar. Β And I was further implying that the kid in the JJ comic was weeping...not from the sad ending of Rogue One...but from the slow decline of the wonderful franchise of Star Wars (which is also totally just my silly little opinion - don't want to start a galactic war over the Star Wars franchise). Β But as a doofus my other super power is to say ridiculously unfunny things.
