He didn't ever go above-ground, though, did he? Plus he's been around it way longer than Chell was, researching it as a portal conductor and so forth. Because moon dust actually is quite bad for your pulmonary system; the Apollo astronauts had to worry about it quite a lot.
This would be a pretty poignant twist for the ending of Portal 2, though. Maybe Black Mesa would have a way to help her?

Cave johnson said that crushing the moon rocks was deadly which he got infected from but created a gel for the prtal gun. P.s thats why the old parts of the lab was sealed off because of the atmosphere being infected.

I've read a few fanfics where it's stated that Chell's life expectancy has been drastically reduced because of all the traumas, toxins and assorted misfiring "scientific" experiments to which she has been exposed. Yeah, the Conversion Gel only might be the worst of it because that stuff down in Old Aperture hadn't been properly maintained for more than half a century and that isn't something you want to hear when you realise Cave had been playing around with particle accelerators and superconductors down there.
Fortunately, there is a Freeman out there and a certain ship that, between them might solve all her problems.
Assuming she lives long enough to find them.
And thus starts Portal 3/Half-Life 3.
