A critic will look at a piece of work they donβt like and pass comment, then pose a potential solution.A whiner will look at a piece of work they donβt like, then burst into tears, shrieking about how the artist has specifically set out to offend them, and never actually says anything constructive. Like this;
"Personally, I find your work to show an extreme lack of originality and taste.
It makes me extremely upset to see you getting so much attention with your soft-core furry smut but that's what your watchers want, so whatever!
Your drawings remind me of women on steroids, unattractive and unnatural.
You're a comic artist who really can't grasp any good concepts to get attention so instead draws furries with their boobs popping out. HOW ORIGINAL! : D
Oh, and lol, how almost every one of your 'stories' involves girls (of numerous animal types, but, you know, no connection to bestiality ) grow huge boobs for no reason.
I wish you would please, as the one and only favor I will ever as you to do for me, please please just quit drawing.

They must have done extensive research just to come up with these lame comments. - It still all boils down to the same thing: You don't like it, DON'T READ IT. Criticism can be taken two ways. Sometimes it's the readers fault, but online it tends to be the writer's fault. It can be hard for most people to be original, but that's no reason to LECTURE someone. I mean seriously... Are they secretly your mother, or what?

JJ you are a bit of a furry, BUT. You are an excellent artist, cartoonist, and general human being. You draw extremely pretty women (the boobies), the simple reason (most) people are opposed to furry-ism is that it is one step closer to bestiality. SA is a brilliant comic, and the characters are brilliant, deep, and most importantly, funny. So do not discontinue your anthropomorphic comic, it is a good thing. All teh intarwebs ask is that you do not draw a furry Skunk-girl with bewbs larger than her head. Continue the good work.

I've been taught to give art criticism in the art classes I have taken but I will not say I am an expert. I do agree with what you said "A critic will look at a piece of work they donβt like and pass comment, then pose a potential solution." That is pretty much what all my professors have told me, and I have taken that to heart. In that person's argument I only saw personal opinion but nothing that could help improve your art work. That is the concept of criticizing a work, giving feedback in order to help the artist gain better skills.
"lack of originality and taste" Is that all? Expand on that idea and say what the artist could do to make art more original and tasteful. Again, something that someone may find original may not be so in the eyes of the others. Sure, furies (spelling?) have been done before, but so have dragons, elves, fairies, anime, and so on. If you take a book even the plot has been redone over and over again. Change something here and there but the main plot still remains unoriginal. Tasteful again is subject to bias. I don't have a thing for big boobies, they remind me of plastic ones but I'm not going to tell anyone that its not in their tastes to like it.
"You're a comic artist who really can't grasp any good concepts" Then do tell us what good concepts are. I don't believe I have heard of such a thing until now. I always believed I held good concepts of art and I find the artist's style to be interesting and masterful, and as to his subjects, they are a different take of furies in my own personal opinion.
Then again, I am only an amateur painter/ drawer who has only taken a few courses and joined the art appreciation club at her college, but what the hell do I know about good art?
