Description Quick pic of the saddest scene I have watched on the big screen in YEARS. I genuinely got a little choked up, because that was the first dinosaur we ever saw on our very first trip to Isla Nublar in 1993..... and it was the last dinosaur we saw as Isla Nublar burnt up.

I literally didn't see the next scene through the wall of tears in my eyes. She didn't deserve that...being so close to salvation and they...just left her...

Finally got around to seeing the movie today, and yeah, this scene is heartbreaking. Especially when she reared up; I couldn't help but be reminded of the first movie, except this time, she wasn't placidly feeding. She was trying, and failing, to stay alive.

I do not cry easily in movies. I have gone through most of Pixar's films without shedding a single fucking tear.

But this scene? This scene made me burst into tears.

THIS broke my heart, my twin sister's and my mom's. Well, my mom saw the movie separately with my dad but still.

And on that day, a great cry arose: all over the world billions of children and true animal lovers alike weeping/wailing for the death of such wondrous creatures. That island that was once Jurassic park is has become nothing but a fairytale.

This was both, heartbreaking, making us WATCH the Brachs re-enter extinction and good sendoff to our final trip to Isla Nublar, the first dinosaur we saw all those years ago really SHOULD have been the last one we saw on the island.

Then again, Ingen's had it out for the Brachs for YEARS...
Remember 'Operation Clean Sweep'? Ingen, under the radar, tried to kill them off with NERVE GAS.

First and last dinosaur. That was like my exact same thought during this scene.

And I might be wrong, but I think it was a juvenile one as well, which made it extra sad. It's like watching a puppy die...

GO DAMMIT, why am I crying over a digitally rendered nonexistant lizard?! TT_TT

Ps: dinosaurs were birds. Hard to believe, but yeah. But i think the word dinosaur come from the latin words for terror and lizard

I honestly had trouble not laughing out loud in the theater because I thought the scene was too melodramatic with the terrible CGI effects. Almost as funny as the campy plane crash scene from The Knowing.

Though, I did recently watch a documentary on Pompei that described how REAL people and animals die from REAL volcanic eruptions. They don't wail around and flop dead. No no no. We're talking truly horrifying stuff. Like volcanic ash turning red from the incinerated flesh from a large mass of people. Brains turning into a crimson steam that explode out of a person's skull like a tea pot from hell. The way the dinosaurs die feel like Loony Toons by comparison.

That might have colored my perspective a little.
