Hell yeah! Those Martians were some of my favorite occasional characters on Sesame Street. Their discovery of the radio is still in my head even after all those years. Yes, I thought the whole bottom lip thing was scary/cool, like the old Carol Burnett (via Bill Cosby) joke about what childbirth is like: take your bottom lip, and pull it over your head. What's the next word they learn, hamburger? Thanks for this well-done trip down memory lane.

They freaked me out when I first saw them, too. I remember when they had a baby one. Even freakier with the scary looking saw and probe-gun.

OMFG, I looked at this picture and was like, wateva, I don't get it.
But as I pressed the back button I noticed yip yip yip and I was like, "... ... that... seems familiar... WHERE IS THAT FROM?!" suddenly a flood of nostalgia waved over me and I found myself pressing on the pic again and INSTA FAVE.

Yeah, these guys were pretty creepy, but when I was little, I was terrified of Big Bird. Fuck Bananas in Pyjamas, I liked that show, but that big, ugly bird with it's strange german voice actor... that was fucking creepy...
