You didn't see that coming, did you? xDYeah, I finally did Jolteon!
I started it two days ago. I had to argue with myself because I hate painting fur by now (Flareon was just a hell of fur and Jolteon imho has fur, too. Btw making short fur all by yourself is the worst! *looks at Flareons butt* xD hurrdurrfurr). Then I remembered that *CoyoteMange did that awesome brushset back then and so I gave it a try. And it is frakkin' awesome.^^ I know she doesn't want credit anymore, but this helped me so much.

I don't know the photographer but I'm very happy I found this pose (If someone knows him/her/it/everything in between please tell me).
Jolteon combines cheetah, fennec and porcupine elements. Its claws cannot be retracted to provide perfect hold while running, which rubs them down, but Jolteon doesn't rely on raw power to hunt prey either.
Thanks to all people who answered my poll about Jolteon and Glaceon. While working on all eevees, I constantly thought about what to do with Glacy and I had no idea until now and you gave me that time.^^
Oh and another thing that bothered me was my love for Gamefreak and Pokémon... which was heavily distorted for months..... then they announced X/Y AND HOLY SHIT I'M IN LOVE AGAIN!!! QvQ

That's a nice one! Were your design influenced by Arvalis's version? Of course it's unique too, but I can't help to notice some similarities

I actually knew someone here would mention that x). I had this design idea when I began with the eeveelutions, which is about one year ago. When I saw Arvalis' version of it I was surprised and happy at the same time. Knowing that such a cool and famous artist here on dA has the same ideas as me. Then again the idea is not very far-fetched. Jolteon is a very fast pokemon and looks like a mammal (=cheetah) and has weird spikes everywhere, especially on its head and butt (
But I must say that when I started the first sketches I had to look at Arvalis' version and I was shocked: I even chose the same pose (I could even hear a little "NOOOOOoooooooo" from my head then xD) Then I changed it and left the tab open to compare the two versions, so that they don't look too similar. In the end, it doesn't matter and I don't want anyone to believe that I had the idea first. That would be childish.
Thanks for mentioning that. My next eeveelution will look much more different again. I have plans.......

Absolutely amazing ^u^ It's nice to see a Jolteon that isn't a fox, too. I mean, it's the fastest Pokemon, so a cheetah makes more sense than a fox ^^

Die hinterste Hinterpfote ist die schönste Pfote, die ich jemals gesehen habe D: Das Fell... und so... boar, das beeindruckt mich jetzt echt
Ist sehr cool geworden. Schönes Fell und dynamische Pose. Der Bauch ist auch echt hübsch geworden was die Fellrichtung und so betrifft. Mit den Stacheln kann ich mich nicht so richtig anfreunden, die sehen ein bisschen aus als wären sie als das Bild schon fertig war noch mit dem Wischfinger draufgemacht worden. Aber trotzdem echt starkes Bild

Je die Stacheln sind mir wirklich nicht so gut gelungen leider, da hätte ich mehr Arbeit reinstecken sollen, aber WISCHFINGER? Solche Anschuldigungen hier, das nennt man Mobbing! xD Den würde ich niemals benutzen, nie nie nie.

Die Pinselstriche waren nicht schwer, aber sie nachher aussehen zu lassen, als würden sie zu Blitza dazugehören war schwierig.^^
