Hello dA community.Here you go with a new Eeveelution of mine and simultaneously a request by the deviant j-c-o.
I though Umbreon was hard to redesign... this one was even harder. Espeon is a very lovely PokΓ©mon judging by its ingame look. An elegant body, a tiny head and its big eyes and ears lead to a cuteness level over 9000... at least that's what I think.
The most important thing about this redesign was to think of a way to combine spirituality and reality. Like combining ice and fire without destroying one of them... let's say it was very complicated.
I admit I could have done this faster, but believe me: I scribbled lots of espeons before this concept popped out... then I had the outlines and left them alone for about 2 months, this espeon needs affection now
.Espeon can't take physical hits very well, be careful when you pet its head *splatter*
One of my friends asked why it is so muscular - it is the second fastest eeveelution, I thought it could need muscles.

Looks like a cross between a spinx cat(with da almost no fur) a fennec fox(those big ears) and a cheetah(built for running).

I love how it's brain is visible. And since Espeon has very little fat and skin, it would make since for it to have its muscle structure visible as well.

Hehe yes the Umbreon was ment to look sick (real moray eels look sick and freaky, too. I wanted to communicate the same feeling)
I want to do Glaceon so badly but right now I'm just full of work (which also means drawing, but no PokΓ©mon^^) On my free time I try to practise things I'm not that good at (perspective and stuff). I promise there will be a Glaceon. Just can't tell you when exactly. I hope before X/Y release... because of reasons.

Well, it could also be the fastest since it's part feline, or it uses it's high-ass psychic powers to enhance its speed
Anyways, wonderful job. It continues to remain my favorite of the Eeveelutions. I must say that tail freaks me out a bit. It has such a Prometheus-esque style to it.

Photoshop and Photoshop only ;> Recently I work with the newest version, which is CS6, but if I had worked with version CS3, CS4, CS5 or CS5.5 this pic would have turned out identically.

You just pictured my favorite eeveelution in one of the best ways I can imagine.
I always pictured Espeon in my head as a creature with a ridiculous amount of power considering its size and physical strength, kind of like Mew, even some sort of a demigod, so when I see all these pictures of "cutesy fluffy purple kittens with little gems in their foreheads" I always get the feeling that they're missing something (as nice as they might be as pictures), but you just pictured it perfectly. (Yours looks more like Mewtwo though. As in, Mews' power being of divine origins, and Mewtwos' power being created in a lab. Though, it still gives the same feel of sheer, contained power, and I goddamn love it

It took me some time to convert the gem into something realistic. At first I thought about a third eye, but it had to be red and espeon doesn't have red eyes... it would look too fantasy imo. Then I expanded its brain - so squishy^^
There should be an adult version of pokemon someday, that would be awesome!
