Description
Inexpensive, easy to program and secure, the Hiensweistz Danhgo F78 CommTab is a simple communications device that can be attached to the collar or cuff, either at the neckline (the normal location) or the cuff of a jacket and once attached it won't come off without some effort (sticky molecules that won't stay adhered to material after the comm had been removed) so it is unlikely to just drop off. In order to use it, the user configures at least two, or more units to share the same secured communications frequency and then they are attached to a uniform, shipsuit or casual clothing. The units can be used in open communication, that is the channel remains open to everyone at all times, or secured so that they only transmit when needed. In the default format the unit transmits all of the parties communications in realtime. If the unit is to used so it only transmits when necessary, the user adjusts it and only presses and holds down the button on the unit when they wish to speak. The grille is a speaker-microphone combined unit. It is commonplace for shipmasters and crews to use a closed circuit for communications while aboard ship, or on planetary expeditions. The military also uses a variant of this unit, the F60FFG.
