Beautiful work, very well asymmetrically balanced. Perspective is consistent, terrain elevation is substantially varied without errors, and the almost whimsical / dreamlike style of the map makes it striking. The landscape itself looks very natural, and the glow on the rocks is very well done, appearing artificial yet not clashing with the rest of the style.
In terms of less positive feedback; There are a few oddities with scale - the chest on the lower left is almost as large as one of the smaller houses! I'd also second the suggestion of improving place names. In fact, I'd be happy to help you brainstorm up a few ideas. The text on the map is too small (hard to read without zooming in), so if you intend for this to be a UI piece, I'd double the font-size. Since the tape piece for the title "Lorcia Island" itself seems minimalist, it clashes with the rest of your beautifully detailed work. My suggestion would be to remove the tape entirely in favor of fancy underlining and the larger font for the title (You already have such a nice paper parchment background, why not show it off a little?) e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

This piece has exquisite detail work, very nice job there. Your perspective works quite nicely to the viewer and gives us a pretty good idea of where everything is. I really like how you used up the space around the main part of the map with different features rather than leaving it blank. Your shading also gives this a sense of reality and is eye catching. Overall, this map is wonderfully done and congratulate you on this. One thing I would work on improving is making the names of the different cities a little larger and remove the chat box around it. Kind of like how the names are on this map (static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cβ¦
Apart from that, this map is amazing. Great work ^w^
