yeah they came out, like 5 or 6 issues I think. Joe Bennett started out then Staz Johnson came in.

That's right!! Now I remember.... We used to pin all the work that everyone in the studio used to do on the walls for everyone to look at, and get inspired by, now I remember these coming in and being put up on the "freelance" wall
I tell ya, those were good days working there with all those great artists all in the same studio, but WOW did it end bad!!

Thats really cool. A good buddy of mine Rob Schwager [link] helped me get work there and yeah the level of talent in that studio was sick. But when the shit hit the fan it really hit the fan BIG time. I knew a lot of guys battling just to get paid. They got pretty behind with me but I put up a stink for my cash and bailed once I cashed that check. At least I finished my work with them before I bailed, i wanted to at least be the professional one in the situation.

I would have loved to work in house but I never trusted they would stay afloat.

Rob!! I miss that guy!! I worked with him on a book called "Brath". His wife made a great chicago style deep dish pizza!!!
I am glad that you got paid... ALOT of freelancers didn't..... Sometimes it really makes me feel bad when I tell people in the industry that I worked for CG, but, then, I had nothing to do with them not getting paid... there was alot of us in studio that were owed money!

Rob!! What a great guy... I worked with him on a book called Brath that CG put out. Chuck Dixon wrote it, Andrea DiVito was the penciller, I inked him, and Schwager made us both look better than we deserved!!
I am glad you got paid! there were ALOT of freelancers that didnt.
