I used a 10/0 Fan brush (some normal brush is in there to). I'm finding a lot of uses for it actually, works really well for wood.

I'm not sure if this is to much but do you think its possible for you to do a step by step piece? Just curious

DonΒ΄t think IΒ΄ve ever seen this kind of shadowing from you before, I really like it!
The BG is great too, gives the picture a more dynamic feeling to it!

the background was fun since I didn't have a game plan for how I wanted to handle it. it's not perfect but the effect I wanted was successful.

with inking you have to have some serious patience and being honest with yourself is a must.
Fight small battles, instead becoming overwhelmed with the entire page. pay attention to the things you do successfully and work on the things that strike fear in your heart. Then do that every day and you should start seeing some growth
Don't separate inking from being an artist, people tend to make that mistake.

i see wear your going with that, i do tend to rush though the areas where it goes from black the cross hatched. Thanks for the tips. And i defiantly see inks as a different machine from line work all together.

OH-EM-GEE! This is the top-est of the topnotch work man! Aside from the beautifully done dry brush background, I'm amazed at the render/hatches you did on his body. Very Sharp and crisp! I'm a fan man!

Hulk looks great. But the brush stroke looking background is what makes this pieace amazing in my eyes.
How did you manage that...

I used a Fan brush [watercolor brush], first time i'd ever used it. I like buying things my girlfriend says, LOL!
I think i'll be using it a lot more, it's interesting.

Really a brush made that. Some of those lines look
like really fine hatching. Keep using i i say, very
cool effect.
A woman said you like buying stuff? Wow you must
buy tons of stuff^^
