Description
I drew this during breaks between classes last semester. I did some coloured pencils for the background in Starbucks when I did that one Samus image.I don't think I'll ever finish this.

I know! I was just thinking yesterday about the way his face works. I realized that I had to play the role of engineer if I wanted to flesh out this robot character, and decided to sketch out how his face works. I just scanned it this afternoon.

I think I'm in love with this! I really actually like how the robot's uncolored, and there's a complex build-up of pretty colors in the background. The robot himself is awesome - I find it amazing when artists can give emotion to a drawing of a machine or otherwise inorganic object. He looks like such a lovable character.

i like this version the best.
the colors give a smooth warm glow to it and really make it pop.
and i actually like it with the unfinished look. it has a nice rough feel to it.
