Description
Following the loss of Tobias, the remainder of the Best Available decided to blow up Xanathar's Guild lair and eradicate all trace of the guild from Skullport. The fort on Skull Island just outside the city, however, was a daunting challenge. Before settling in for a long rest at the Guts & Garters inn, Angela wrote a letter to Helena, the privateer captain she stowed away on long ago, disguised as a boy, in pursuit of her mother's killer. Since Angie recently received letters from Helena with various clues and hints, it became obvious the captain figured out who she was...

With that in mind, Angela wrote back - thanking the captain for looking after her, for not blowing her cover, and allowing her the chance to track the killer down... And saying how liberating the dying Skullport from the Xanathar Guild's oppression, so that it could prosper and thrive once more as a home for free seafaring folk once more would be her thanks.

She had no clue if the letter would reach the captain at all. It all hinged on whether the Ivory Web would, by some miracle, be docked in Waterdeep harbor that day...

Just before the planned attack, a courier brought a reply, instructing the party to launch a signal arrow when the time comes.

After Hadari did so, and The Best Available stormed the gate, Helena and her crew attacked from the docks.

Driven by grief for her fallen friend and the magical effects of the Haste spell, Angie's crystal longsword would taste a grueling, bloody battle that day...

At the end of the day, Skullport was free once more, with Helena in charge, committing to restore the city to its former glory.

This exchange took place during the battle:

Angela: "So... when did you see through my disguise?"
Helena: "Oh honey, right at the very beginning. It was quite amusing".
