This is a pic that I worked on sometime in 2015, and finished on October 7 of last year.I've always enjoyed classic Spider-Man, between the colourful and crazy plots with still human, poetic storytelling (although my favourite Spider-Man media to this day is Spectacular Spider-Man.), so I've thought of recreating some of the more influential scenes of Spider-Man's adventures. The debut of Electro was the most well known, for having Spider-Man tackling a foe which he could not touch for the first time: one that could lethally shock anyone!
Drawing this scene, I decided to give both Spidey and Electro redesigns that I found more suitable, while still retaining their well-known colour schemes. The background, I decided to have the scene take place in roughly sunset since Spider-Man operates after school hours and before dinner (if he can help it.), plus I gave the buildings a more simplified, painterly look like you'd see in Batman: The Animated Series.
