This is my entry for 's contests with this round being WISHES. ^^

Beth went down to the tank of the newly transferred calf ,Nato. He's been here for a few days but was still,adjusting to the new tank. He came from another park and was transferred when his mother Mako passed on. When he wasn't crying out for her he would sit in a corner and stay silent the rest of the day. There were plans to move him into a pool with another female. However it wasn't guaranteed that the two orca's would imprint on one another.
Beth went to Nato's pool and offered up some fresh fish. "Nato? Come on." She splashed some water to get his attention, dangling the fish. The baby orca came up and chomped up her offering. She patted his smooth back. "Good boy."

Even though he was fed, she could see his sadness on his face. "You miss her, huh..."
She understood how he felt.

His was originally going to be a story for my written entry, though talks with and convinced me this would be better as a drawn sequence with my original intended drawing entry put in story as a lighthearted entry. Thanks guys.
The name Nato was a name suggested by , which means gentle. Thanks john!
