seriously? thats a bit of a piss take. That figure illustration you've done is just as strong as many of the illustrations in their books.
Think they've made an error on that judgement, best of luck with future projects anyway. Good to see quality book illustration like your work.

I am so surprise no one really recommend this picture to be a daily deviation,the coloring is exquisite. The detailing is mindblowing great!
I must say I hope you do more of these. Perhaps even World War 2. I also hope you do Don-Cossack next time.

If I get the chance I have a few of these I would like to do. There's a samurai in progress as I type, though it may be a while before he gets finished. I have a Gaul in progress, and yup, WW2 stuff would be lovely to do.

I did some, yup. Can't lie - the company I was working with to produce the sampel were very helpful too. A whole sheaf of images came with the brief.

Thanks man! Yeah Napoleonic era is really interesting - which I didn't realise before I started researching this piece. The history of the old guard and the young guards is very cool.
