Description
Girls and horses--what's with that? I was a horse freak as a kid and to this day cannot explain why it's a girl/horse thing with very few boys. Pencil HB, H, 2H, 3H, 4H mechanical pencil 0.5 HB and 4B and 0.3 2B. Bristol board smooth. 11" x 14" This is from a stock photo (free) reference from The Morguefiles. I was wondering why this was in a group about pencil drawings at first--I thought it was an actual photograph! I really like how much detail you put into everything, and how realistic it all looks: the patterns on the wood, the girl's hair, the twisted ropes on the horse's bridle...What I love most about this picture is how it shows the affectionate bond between animal and human.

This is just amazing work!!! I LOVED horses when I was a young girl, and of course, still do. Connection is a good title, there is just a connection there that is hard to explain...
