Color Symbolism described with bunnies (Actually, Usuraimu... but that is another story).The kanji at the top right is an attempt at "Wild Script". It means "color". Below it are two pencil sketches of variations of the same Kanji.

I read somewhere that blue also symbolizes intelligence as well as royalty.

Your right about that.
Truth be told, color symbolism is very subjective, and cultural.

It's a great way of telling the viewer/reader about your characters without ever having to state it.

Funnily enough, my characters came out of this exercise, rather then the other way around. I had this idea of the Usuraimu (bunny slime) and then used them as a way to explore the colors. Then I had 12 characters to play with.
