What if Goku failed to defeat Broly on new planet vegeta?

If Broly somehow deflects or dodges goku’s powered punch Broly would have killed him and the Z fighters But if he didn’t I think goku would use his instant transmission to save his friends and himself from Broly and the comet.

Broly movie 8 takes place in an alternate timeline so even though it looks like it takes place during the cell games cell and Gohan is a SSJ it isn’t active in this timeline or probably Piccolo or vegeta killed cell before he could absorb any androids. My point being is, Goku now has a reason to push Gohan into using SSJ2.

So when Broly eventually arrives on earth to finish the job Goku and the gang most likely train again to be extra prepared.
