Lovely scenery, real fairytale stuff
But I'm curious: where did the title come from?

Thanks again SlaΔana,I think it was a spur of the moment spark of inspiration as I was uploading it,sometimes titles come to me very easily as soon as I look at the finished shot, others I have trouble with and sometimes re-name after a short while

I do know how that is... hmmmm sometimes I think a good title is almost as important as the piece of art itself

Woah this is a great shot, and that building... looks so interesting, what is it exactly? it looks a bit like it goes under water or something

JonnyGoodboy In reply to Rober-d [2010-04-14 15:37:19 +0000 UTC]
Thank you Roberd,it`s not open for public access but as far as I know,it`s simply for maintenance to the Lake

What can be better to start my return than looking at this amazing landscape? I can see why you relax here, dear Jonathan! Soooo gorgeous! I could spend a real long time watching this sight.
The vegetation is impressive, I can never have enough of those mountains and greens everywhere !
I read some of the comments to avoid repeating myself and I see that Karen already mentioned the tower inclination and you answered her. I thought it was leaning to the left like the Piza Tower ... Are you sure it was you? The watermark also seems to be slightly thinner to the left...
π: 0 β©: 1
JonnyGoodboy In reply to Manwathiell [2010-04-05 18:58:13 +0000 UTC]
Thank you my dear M
Yes,it`s def my fault about the Tower,I`m been there several times now and I`m pretty certain it isn`t leaning anyway but 90Β° straight up
I could rectify it,but I have an inbuilt hatred of re-doing a shot I`ve already spent 5 minutes on...ok a couple more than 5 but I simply don`t enjoy PP as much as I used too
By watermark,you mean the colour?

Manwathiell In reply to JonnyGoodboy [2010-04-13 21:34:49 +0000 UTC]
Hi!
Took me long to answer, been absent, too much again...
I havenΒ΄t gone through the new deviations yet, but soon, I promise.
Of course, IΒ΄ll find tons of comments
I agree with you on redoing a shot. I feel kind of lazy myself when
it comes to modifying. Once itΒ΄s done, itΒ΄s done. If thereΒ΄s something
to improve, I can always do it on a next work (like the hair on Never
Really Alone... I have the work in process of improving, but I never
seem to get there or open the file to work on it ).
By water mark, I meant the mark of the water at the tower base, looks
a bit darker there, as when a flood increases the water level
Why donΒ΄t you enjoy Photoshop as much ??

JonnyGoodboy In reply to Manwathiell [2010-04-16 07:31:45 +0000 UTC]
No worries M,DA is fun on the side, find the lil time for it when you can, don`t let it intervene into to your real life
And you know what,I never actually noticed that, maybe why it`s given the impression of leaning slightly that way as that level isn`t straight
It`s not as dense to the left no doubt as that side is directly into the Sun btw.
To be honest,I love to see a shot spring to life through the few tweaks and caresses I give it in Photoshop,I find myself getting bored doing it quite quickly though, don`t like spending too much time on individual shots and as said, really can`t be bothered to re-do any at all

April 16th your message - April 28th my answer!
Well, as you said, I really couldn't be here until today...
I thought of you last Monday. I took a shot while hubby and me were
returning from the lecture 430km away from home. That one will be for
you, if I dare to upload it! It's the most modern building in Uruguay
and it made me remember the ones you uploaded last (well, the ones I
have seen so far!!!).
The issue is, the car window can be seen, and cars, and... it's not a
"beautiful" shot. But the building is interesting...

An amazing picture of an amazing place!! The whole scenery is almost unreal, like one of those fantastic (fantasy) paintings/illustrations. Great capture - wonderful atmosphere! Btw: What actually is the purpose of this little tower? (Except for looking impressive)

JonnyGoodboy In reply to calimer00 [2010-04-04 16:48:25 +0000 UTC]
Thank you for the good words Calimer, the actual tower is as far as I know for maintenance purposes to the Lake and not for public access unfortunately
