"Pan"(Self Portrait)
Pencil on paper
Materials : Arches hotpress 300gsm paper, 9B, 2B, B pencils and graphite sticks, Graphite powder, blending stumps, cotton wool, various erasers... I think that's about it...
1.15 x 1.70 m
I am so happy to finally be done with this piece. I might have injured my hand doing that background...
This is the first drawing of a new series themed around Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of earthly delights" looking back on the work I cant deny there many influences like Jane Alexanders Butcher Boys and more...
This drawing took around 140 hours to complete

Stunning Jono. Obviously the technique is top drawer, but what grabbed me is the concept. I'm a huge fan of your hyper-realistic works, the eyes and Fibonacci in particular are breathtaking. But this has a vision as well as the incredibly talented observational and motor skills. Please keep posting works to help inspire, the more I see of your (and other amazing pencil artists) the more inspired I become, and subsequently the quality of my own work improves as I strive to achieve a similar level. Amazing.
