I had this interesting idea for a painting but never had the time or references to accomplish it. My idea was to make a painting of myself proposing to my girlfriend. I thought it would be the perfect way to pop the question. I had many versions in my head, but none of them came to be. Mostly because I didn't have a crystal clear vision and also I just didn't have the time. Well, things changed and we became engaged in our own way. But now I had a picture of me proposing to my future wife and thought it would make for a perfect Christmas present. I used it to inspire a scene of what you see before you right now. I placed us before a gate to symbolize the entrance of our life together and had the trees act as a sort of fence that circled around us. We appear as though we are on mountain high in the sky with the sun rising above the clouds, a new dawn in the future of our lives. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as we do.
