Description
Rear Quarter Shot---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a rendering of a body kit design I did for the my friend John Pangilinan's Scion tC built to compete in the 2008 SEMA Scion Tuner Challenge.
We wanted to create a tuner/race style so I designed a widebody kit that gives the car a lot of width matched with some carbon fiber front lip and sideskirts. I came up with the name Revault which I thought was fitting with the way the car looked. The car was also designed with 20" wheels in charcoal finish w/ semi-gloss black lips.
And when the result of the Scion Tuner Challenge was announced during the 2008 SEMA Show, this car won 1st Place and rewarded with a trophy and a big fat check in the amount of $10,000.
here are links to the actual pictures of the car:

I'm happy with the way the car turned out. It was unfortunate that the front bumper was not completely done but overall, the sum of the parts made up for it.

The car will be featured in Modified Magazine and also will be displayed in the Scion Booth during the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Nice whip! I watched Formula Drift recently, and one driver, Tanner Foust, drives a car like that one.

haha thanks man, you're too kind. I hate touching up old stuff so I probably just leave it the way it is and spend the time on newer projects LOL.

Looks a little DTM-like to me, so I like it. And as for $10,000, did they cover the expenses for the car itself? If that's a one-off kit, I'd imagine the prize money would barely cover the sides alone.

Scion provided the car and $10,000 as a budget to cover the mods. Then if you win you get $10,000 and whatever is left over from the budget they gave you, that is if there is any and you didn't go over budget. Scion keeps the car and uses it for promotions.

Alright, so they did cover it. What happened to the loser cars, though?

All of the SCION cars entered in the competition are owned by SCION themselves so they just took it all back, including the winning cars.

On form! The reflection of the front wheel is a bit dodgy though...
Absolute congrats on the Tuner win too, both this and the real car look siiiiick!

I'm loving that rear diffuser, the widebody is gorgeous, rims are brilliant.
Kit is good but those taillights are incredibly pixellated, maybe an update would be good.
If you want I probably have a donor that'll fit that angle.

A lot of blury, low res, toony parts. On this view, light are over-contrasted too.
Not made on your standards mate. You can do it much, MUCH batter.
Anyway.. keep it on

The rendering was only a quick illustration to give the body shop enough information to go by. For this purpose and the limited time we had, it was sufficient and proved successful.

There is no "quick illustration" in Artist's Comments..
For quick illustration is well done.
