As if dressing and eating like a monarch wasn't jarring enough, Emily struggles to find comfort in sleeping like such.

During one of her sleepless nights, Emily hears a stur from afar. She manages to waddle towards the window, despite her impractical attires, and watches in awe as a sea of mounted troops closes in on the castle tower. The political crisis has come to a breaking point and the kingdom is under attack.
She knows she ought to act quick in order to survive, since no matter how well she explains her situation, she'd be executed on sight. She hears muffled screams and clashing metal right outside her door - she has even less time than she imagined.
In an act of despair, she stepped onto the windowsill and climbed along the intricately ornated brick wall. The woman was able to traverse a few feet before inevitably losing balance and plummeting down several storeys into the leaves and branches of the castle grove.
She could still hear the brutal raid take place as she gradually lost consciousness among the rocks and bushes.
