Awa is cautious and wary of strangers. She spends most of her time in and around the sunken ruins of a city, not far from the coast. Why she is attached to the ruins underwater, she doesn't know. In fact, she has very little memory of who and what she was before her transformation. All she knows is that she wants to protect this area from those who wish to harm it.
Near the coast is a human city, which is quite prosperous from tourism. Normally one wouldn't notice much of the busy city life while underwater. Lately however, humans have started diving into the depths. At first Awa expected the humans to try and harm the structures and statues, but it appeared they only come to observe and wonder at the ancient marvels. Despite the fact that the humans have handled her home with respect, she remains vigilant; there may be a time when a human is less than respectful. If she drops her guard when that happens, she will never forgive herself. It is for this reason she doesn't like to travel far beyond her boundary. When she does, she is always ready to rush back to its defence.
Please, feel free to draw Awa! If you do, please do note the following traits:
- Awa always moves as if swimming underwater, even when on land. Even when she lands and "walks", she does so as if walking on the moon.
- Most rocks of her NF are attached to her body, with the exception of a couple of pebbles on her back, and the four stones at the side of her head.
- When she moves and swims, the pebbles on her back follow her body as if attached with invisible strings.

IntrudingFor centuries the remains of a drowned legionnaire lay hidden underwater. It didn’t take long before he was buried beneath the sand, making it impossible to find him except for those who know where he is. And there is only one who knows.
“Hey. You okay?” Sam looked up at her friend. There was a confused look on her face. “What’s up?” Sam frowned and blinked her eyes a couple of times.
“Oh it’s… It’s nothing. I was miles away.” She rubbed her head. “Actually, I’ve been having this headache.” She had specifically remembered to take her medication this morning. No way a headache would ruin her fun today.

Lost and FoundThe deep dark blue depth was but a mere background. Her focus was the man, who was rapidly sinking. Sinking faster than she could swim. Giving up was never on her mind!
Faster! Need to go faster! Quickly!
Every push of her paws forced her deeper underwater as her muscles began to burn with an intense pain. With all her attention to the rush and the man below her, gulps of salty water hit her throat every time the strain forced open her mouth.
Quickly now! Need to catch up!
The man sunk ever deeper while the darkness of the abyss slowly engulfed him. She would never let him go, not as long as he is alive. He is alive! He is definitely alive!

Her body was wearing out, though her mind didn’t accept it. Even when the man finally disappeared out of sight, her eyes remained fixed on her target. More water entered her mouth, and she had no choice but to swallow.

Chapter 4: The ConfrontationIn the scorching heat, Awa had only thoughts of her home. Even floating cost too much effort, and, as if dragging herself on the ocean floor, she pulled forward. Her mind was racing, picturing the worst possible endings for her underwater dwellings. She had been gone for so long, maybe the humans were taking advantage of her absence. Maybe mother nature had decided that the submerged buildings were ready to be demolished by giant underwater currents. If only she was there, she could at least try to stop it all.
Suddenly Awa noticed that no longer was she crawling forward on sand, but on hard rock. In a split second Awa hoped to hear the sea wind so she could finally go back, but those hopes were quickly crushed again by the sight of more mountains, but this time ranges of them, stretching as far as the eye can see. Fixing those shrines had done nothing for her after all. Maybe she should have destroyed them. It seems, after all, that those cursed symbols are keeping her here. For the f
