Description
I added the base colors to my new Exile drawing. I've scrapped the original WIP, so anyone interested in checking it out [link] can still do so.Everyone who has played the game (Knights of the Old Republic 2: the Sith Lords) should recognize the scene as the moment where the Jedi Council exiled the Exile (I still haven't decided on a name for her yet
Traumatized by the devastation she cut herself off from the Force becoming a living "wound".
When the Council demanded she surrender her lightsaber she stabbed it through the center stone and left (probably my favorite scene in the whole game

I always did wonder the stone looked like from that angle after that
...Mostly on how people are suppose to talk to the council or with each other with it right in the middle? lol

That's definitely a great part in the game, but I didn't like the way it was animated. It looked more unrealistic than usual.

Gorgeous, gorgeous! I had somewhat forgotten about that scene (I really need to replay that game) and what a nice reminded you gave me. Thanks for the awesome art!

I have a question
If a Jedi, or lets say Padawan, dropped their lightsaber directly down, would it burn a path to the other side of the world? Or melt the core more accurately
Would it be possible to drop so many at the same time that they would all, eventually, touch one another a form a core of lightsabers around the planetary core...
...I have to much time on my hands to think about this stuff...

Having too much time is a good thing
I think even if the lightsaber somehow managed to stay completely straight pointing down the hilt will quickly find itself engulfed in a molten pool of whatever material it's melting through and be destroyed.

I just love what you have done here. That moment, was intense! And you've captured it really well!

Thank you.
I actually do want to draw the HandMaiden (she's way cooler than Mical ), and I already have a couple of ideas for Atris, just haven't gotten around to them yet.

I myself kind of like leaving the exile nameless. For one thing, if you identify her by a name without referencing her as the exile, then people don't know who you're talking about anymore. The other thing is anyone who's played KOTOR 2 will have their own impression of what would fit or not fit for a name. Its sort of like ordering pizza, you'll never be able to get people to agree on one final answer.
I myself am terribly uncreative. For Revan in KOTOR 1, I named her Guanying (the Chinese name for the Bodhisattva), and in KOTOR 2, I played first with exile as a guy and named him Genrou (Taskii's given name in Fuushigi Yuugi I think), and when I played as a girl named her Xiao Long-nu (From Jin Yong's Return of the Condor Heroes, it means little dragon girl).

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to play it (my computer's too old) and this is actually the first MMO I would consider playing. And I believe they were planning a KOTOR III when they decided to do the MMO and cancelled it
I'm glad you like the pic

I always liked this scene in the game. I think that the council should have given her a second chance cause she came back to face them, that should have at least told them something.

Dispite some of the things left unfinished in the game, it still is a really good.
That is a very cool name. But I'm starting to like the idea of keeping the Exile's name hidden more and more.

That was a cool moment in the game.
My Exile was a female with short blond hair. Very nice. Somehow this one reminds me of Saya from Blood+...

Well all the Exile models had either short hair or tied back in a ponytail or bun due to graphic limitations at the time. Doesn't seem like they advanced very far with free-flowing hair, even with Mass Effect they chose to go with static hair.
Never thought of that comparison with Blood, but I can see how she might

Just remembered something, and I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter as well.
Why do lightsabers (or at least how they're presented) behave like real swords? I mean the blade is just magnetically bound high-energy plasma, so it has negligible mass. And thus, the balance of the blade is nonexistent. Meaning all the weight of the weapon is in the hilt.
And how can the blade "stick" into anything. I know you can keep the blade "on" through mechanical or force means, but if the blade cuts through everything with minimal resistance, why doesn't the weapon fall to the ground?
A proper way to simulate the balance is to have a replica of a lightsaber with the hilt made out of lead and the blade out of a thin shell of plastic. It would weigh way more than the real thing, but the balance would be about the same. Now imagine fighting with such a weapon.
Every swing would come from the wrist instead of the shoulders or even hips, as you don't need to put in almost any force. Except when encountering another saber.
I'd imagine the training for sabers would entail using the supporting hand a bit more actively than with real swords. As you cannot rely on the mass and thus momentum of the blade, you have to apply more torque with the supporting hand on the hilt. In this way a longer hilt would be better, but the center of gravity of the weapon has to be near or within the dominant hand's grip.
One advantage I could think of in such an arrangement is precision: the blade doesn't want to keep moving.
But there is also a disadvantage when it comes to powerful cuts and slices: the blade doesn't want to keep moving.
However, the jedi are masterful swordsmen, so I think they appreciate accuracy over power.

Those are very insightful thoughts And not to be a party-pooper but my thoughts on lightsabers is more "oooooo, cool," so I really never gave much thought about the science behind them
Maybe it's because I'm getting a little older, ten years ago I might have given my own theories about it and it's uses, but if something works for the universe or reality it was created for, then it's all good to me.

Come to think of it, it might be cooler to do some kind of scratched out or static effect whenever someone uses the Exile's name. Kind of like in Kill Bill the way they kept beeping out Uma Thurman's character's name. There could be a malfuntion in the holocrum playing back the Exile's story
