It's that time once again for another Sketchdump
Where I gather old drawings that have been gathering dust in various spots in my room.
I had scanned these sketches last year and since I've never gotten around to inking any of them they've just been sitting in my harddrive without a place to go.

These characters are all from video games I have never played and may never play.
The first one is Zoe (Zoey?) from the first "Left 4 Dead", a zombie game in the truest sense. She really doesn't have a story, she and a few other survivors are just running around various locations trying to escape a horde of zombies, blasting away at them with all kinds of guns. I actually do want to play this game. Maybe if I find some time I'll rent it.
The second character is Ruby from "WET" film noir, grindhouse type of action style game. I've seen the entire playthrough on youtube (thank goodness for YT) and while it looked really cool the gameplay itself just doesn't look like it will be too much fun. Kinda like "The Force Unleashed", it had a better story, and of course I absolutely love Eliza Dushku so that makes Ruby sexier
The third character is Sheva from "Resident Evil 5" and is without a doubt the hottest female character in video games right now. Now I love Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield, but Sheva has the polygons (that wasn't ennuendo, Sheva really does have the best graphics). She still looks better than Claire did in the Degeneration movie that came out a not too long ago. I hope the current trend in Resident Evil games doesn't continue. Chris Redfield, who is perhaps the worst Resident Evil character EVER! (mostly referring to his bad acting, seriously, play any of the incarnations of the first Resident Evil or Code Veronica) and Leon Kennedy, who was actually cool, got Resident 4. Where are the ladies, Jill and Claire, hell even Rebecca who was in the first Resident Evil?
Anyway, if I had a fetish (what am I talking about, I have tons of fethishes
) one of them would be chicks with guns Unfortunately, I still can't draw guns all that great. At least not as good as I want them to look (remember: vote for gun control!!) Sheva's shotgun turned out allright but the pistols are a little blah to me.

Jill's always been my faveorite and giving her a smokin hawt battlesuit (not to mention clearly genetically altered kung fu kickarsery combat moves) didn't hurt her at all. Sheva did in fact worm her way into my number 2 RE slot pretty frigging quick though. Give her another few games I might actually like her more who knows.... but yeah. Battlesuit Jill FTW!!!!!
Side note. You should pick up RE5. It seriously has the coolest cut scenes in the history of ever and are worth the price of admission alone....... seriously, hollywood could learn a few things about why thier action movies are sucking right now if they just played this game.

And video games are indeed putting real movies to shame nowadays. In cinematic style as well in story telling. The Mass Effect games are a couple of the best "movies" around.

Mass Effect 2 is my second favorite game of all time. (Behind Star Wars KotOR) but crap...... even they don't match RE5's action cut scenes....... Wesker outclasses everyone so bad it's like he's in the matrix and everyone else.... well everyone else isn't, everytime he shows up your guerentee'd bad ass kickery. But Jill comes in second which leaves me hoping she'll be the protagonist of RE6

Only reason I care about L4D at all is because of Zoe! Not enough to buy the game though - I don't have an Xbox, so I'd have to buy it for PC, and considering it is a 1st person shooter, well, what's the point of playing as a gorgeous character?
I was so excited about WET when I heard about it! A week later the demo was released and I was disappointed. As you say, the gameplay isn't fun. For one, though she has two pistols she can only dual wield them while leaping, sliding, wall running or doing some other stunt - but forcing you to do so, the game turns what could have been a nifty display of athletic and acrobatic skills into a pointless gameplay mechanic. Oh and Ruby is a raging bitch with no character, no matter how sexy Eliza is.
Sheva. Is. AWESOME! I've got nearly 250 hours on my RE5 save and I have to say, Sheva saved that game. Chris' acting isn't bad, but he's absoloutely retarded. Sheva picks up plotlines faster and is generally more intelligent. Chris is just a big dude who gets by with his huge muscles. Add to that that among Sheva's costumes is what is essentially a glorified bikini, and with the DLC/ultimate edition a very cool red riding hood themed outfit and a snazzy business suit... Well, let's just say she's gorgeous and leave it at that!
Jill got Resident Evil 3, which was actually a pretty good game, for the old RE style. I enjoyed it, at least, even though I only played it recently. I'd like to see her (or Sheva) get a lead role in the next game (assuming there is a next game) but Leon is so cool I would be just as happy to see him again. But if Leon returns, I'd bet a lot of money Ada will too, rather than Jill or Sheva. They have the whole in-love thing going on, after all, and I was personally enraged that RE5 totally ignored any references to Ada after RE4's ending.
Since you haven't played RE5, you probably haven't played the DLC. Well, minor SPOILER coming up. Skip the next paragraph if you don't want to read it.
There's apparently another Wesker child around, Alex Wesker, who has succeeded in discovering the key to immortality. This is good news - after RE5's release, sequel possibility was dubious at best. That they slipped this into the DLC indicates that it is very much a possibility.

I know what you mean about first person shooters. I think nowadays there should be a third-person view option in every FPS game.
I still have my old PS1 copy of RE 3 and I really liked it, but that was also eleven years ago. It would be nice to see her in another game of her own. And Chris' acting was better in this game, but it was just really bad in the other two games he came out in it just doesn't leave you with a good impression of him regardless how good the games were.
I actually saw most of a playthrough of RE 5 someone had posted on youtube, over a year ago, and I think I stopped watching it because they said that after finishing the game you could replay using Sheva, but no one had posted a Sheva playthrough. I guess I just forgot to check back to see if one had been posted. I think the biggest reason why I haven't played RE 5 yet is because you're forced to play as Chris. In the first two Resident Evils you could just choose which character you wanted to start with.
I've seen a lot of images of Sheva in alternate outfits, she's just TOO fine

Playing as Chris isn't entirely awful - you get to check out Sheva from every angle
The Desperate Escape DLC has you playing as Jill Valentine and Josh Stone. After seeing how cool Josh is in comparison to Chris, I was even more disappointed that Chris wasn't killed off instead! Imagine what could of been: Jill and Sheva, fighting against the forces of evil... together...

It's technically possible, though not within the plot. But in both The Mercenaries mode and Versus (RE5's competitive multiplayer) you and a friend can choose from Chris, Sheva, Jill and Wesker, with a total of ten different outfits and weapon loud-outs between them. Ironically, my best friend and I make the most effective team when playing as Jill (BSAA) and Sheva (Tribal), respectively.
In those particular costumes, Jill gets a pistol with an 87.5% critical headshot rate (makes the head explode) and Sheva gets her longbow, the coolest weapon in the game - much better than Chris' stupid gatling gun. Frankly, the gameplay can be almost as enjoyable as the the ladies are gorgeous.

I've actually been wanting to do Halo art for awhile. The first thing I would need to do with Veronica is make her attractive. The creators of the game my have captured the likenesses of Tricia Helfer and Nathan Fillion but damn if they don't look all kind of ugly in the game. And these two are very attractive in real life so I don't know how they could have messed them up.

I admit, the character (in-game) wasn't the best, but Bungie didn't really have a full team working on ODST like they are with Reach. I disagree wih Buck though. He looks like a decent, war-harden guy. But I look forward to see what you can do.

Yeah the gameplay is crap and gets repetitive after a while, but I do love that game. Rubi's a true gem amongst female characters in video games.
