That bow was one of humility, not of pride.Β

Oh! Now I understand the confusion.
No, Alpaca gather in herds. Β Lions gather in prides.

They're sooo cute x3 Wonderful shot, and I lol'd at the pun
Alpacas are prey animal and are naturally very skittish and wary, but when raised by people and around many other animals they adapt very easily, I have a llama that's more than happy to give our farm's little dog kisses through the fence

Thank you.
Were you able to notice the play on words? I only ask because your primary language is French...excusez-moi, Français.

No, can you explain?

JosephThomas In reply to SasShining [2009-07-19 20:39:56 +0000 UTC]
I'll try...
"Alpaca" sounds like (if you try hard enough) "I'll pack a...."
So the joke is "Alpaca (I'll pack a) bag, you call a taxi." Which you might say if you were traveling somewhere.
So, we call this a "pun," I guess...a "play on words."

I've got it! You are a very good teacher!
One good "jeu de mots"

JosephThomas In reply to SasShining [2009-07-20 22:32:12 +0000 UTC]
I have a couple of French expressions for you. Which I made up myself!
1. The discomfort one feels when being dragged along on a shopping trip: Mal de Mall
2. A word meaning constipation: Mal de Merde
Yeah, and I know a real French word which, when spelled backwards, becomes an English word which means essentially the same thing as the French word!
Hint: The French word is plural, the English word is singular.

Heheh..your typographical error is more like a Freudian slip!
You loose your French when writing in English, which could mean that you hurl it like a weapon. (As in to loose an arrow.)
I like French. Lay it on me!

I couldn't resist to send the "kiss me" to my husband... so beautiful and delicate... hope you don't mind?
π: 0 β©: 1
JosephThomas In reply to SasShining [2009-07-20 23:45:21 +0000 UTC]
Why should I mind? I already stole it and sent it to Bee.
When I sent it to Bee she wrote back "Anytime!"
So I went and collected my kiss! Listen: I've been kissing her for almost 44 years, and her mouth is still...well...you know; it still feels just as wonderful as it did in 1965.
Know what else?
She calls me "baby."
