Another doodle from sitting at work!And yes, I envy Sonic's ability to hold Sally up let alone run with her despite his being a scrawny twig
I've tried the romantic sweeping up into the arms thing myself but I uh... inevitably fail 
Sometimes not so badly for just a brief happy spin around, but other times it's awful! It looks so fun though! I don't learn and I get forgiven alas 
I've recently decided to embrace the fact I'm gonna draw what I feel like. Apologies to folks who don't watch me for moar Sonic fanart, but that is a big part of what I do so far and I'm in the warm fuzzy state of mind to draw cutesy pictures of these two to boot. So I figure rather than forcing myself to draw something else because I figure I oughta, why not simply rock what I'm feeling compelled to draw? After so long of simply not drawing at all I should feel thankful I have the motivation to draw anything period. So WHOO! Sonsal fanart for those who like it!

Actually,Β freedomfighter4 Β wrote a fic a loooooong time ago (" Ever After") set when Sonic and Sally have aged considerably, and his legs have effectively become crippled from the damage he did to his muscles running like that. Now that I think of it, his knees should totally blow out eventually. But that's all super dark real-world stuff XD This is cute an' fuzzy!
I've always been a sucker for drawing sweetness. Started back being a hopeless romantic teen with nobody to focus said affections on, then I did and it fueled my art into things like this and "Happily Ever After "Β with the warmth and feelings I had for her, then she left me and the hollowness kinda re-birthed that craving to create something sweet and tender in place of it missing from my life, but I went inactive both here and art-wise instead of engaging in a flurry of art to project feelings on (kinda good, that could've gotten ugly and/or unfortunately explicit 
So that's a long-winded 'thank you very much'!

More more specifically I was trying to highlight what you pointed out, which was affection. There lies the difference between a childish fancy and an actual romantic bond between two individuals. And for many particularly enthusiastic Sonsal fans, I think that's what they see between these two that makes them especially like them.
So again, I'm very very glad 'ya enjoyed this image of mine and thank you good sir!

X3 We keep it in check understandably but yussss I can say there's some genuine love between me and my honey. And we do tend to be rather love struck if we're just sitting around enjoying each others' company 
Doesn't happen often enough sadly... only get to see her once a week if even, so that adds to the sentiment when I do get the opportunity to go visit her ^.^ *wants it to be friday*
Enough with my gushing though, I'm head over heals in love and I like it!
