Everything inside the giant brush-stroke was painted by me for this image (nothing re-used from previous paintings... well, maybe one of the planets). It took me the better part ofa month to do.

Photo filter. My camera sucks, so just using the photoraph as is was out of the question, I had to do something to give it a bit of sharpness at full zoom.
