Just so you know, I designed this before the 5th generation was even announced.This is a Fake evolution of Luvdisc.
Molantine is based off an Ocean sunfish (Mola Mola). I love sunfish and have always wanted a pokemon based off one, and with a slot open on Luvdisc's evolutionary chain, it was perfect.

Ability: Cute Charm/Swift Swim
Name Meaning: Mola-Mola(Sunfish)- Valentine
[Molantine evolves from Luvdisc holding a Cupid's Arrow in the Pitch Black Trench]
Molantine are kind and gentle pokemon which bask in the sunlight on the ocean's surface, However, they often venture into the abyss. They are always followed by a small group of Luvdisc. If they kiss the Hull of a boat, it will always dock safely at its next destination.

Very nice, though complains about how Luvdisc should have evolved into Alomomola always irk me. They're fine, or even better, the way they are. Luvdisc are lovers and Alomomola are mothers. With that said Molantine would make a fine evolution for Luvdisc as it keeps the love aesthetic.

Yes, but Alomomola not being related to Luvdisc was one of the many 5th gen related things that threw my view of the franchise into darkness for about 4 weeks

It was a bit of a shock, But it was them getting one over on us. They took all our predictions and what we thought we knew about the franchise, and turned it on its head. Kudos to them!

OMG I'm in love with this <3 I drew TWO Luvdisc evolutions in school couple of days ago, one representing a Sunfish and the other representing a Knifefish. If this thing was also part Psychic type and had a Dark Counterpart as a part of a branched Luvdisc evolution, I would fall in love with this, even more
