And So It Began...
And so the great renaissance of innovation began. Creators and revolutionaries alike took the stage in what would clearly mark the ultimate performance of our day, and the premier of our final enlightenment.

Once hoarded money spread into pockets of research and development; unparalleled innovations were turned into reality more quickly than ever before. "Modern" society on the other hand suffered greatly. Not that anyone cared much these days; destruction of the old systems was becoming the popular trend. Women and men trickled into groups, almost tribe-like, fiercely holding their communal lands across the global map. The old state borders dissolved as a new unified 'nation' began to realize; one that would soon just as quickly rocket to the sky and into the cosmos. Simple reciprocity replaced our suddenly outdated market system as groups of people traded with others for only what they needed. It would hold us over well until the new order arrived. Money only existed to fuel the great industrial centers, the mammoth structures strewn across the valleys and into the mountains that housed the heroic minds of the age. From these locations spewed the future of our very existence.

In the old cities, the police were the last wave to attempt to salvage the dying order. That didn't last long. The armies were never even summoned. We were the armies. And we sat along the hillsides and watched our world burn below.

That mighty trek across the great unknown, the one that we had so fearfully resisted outside our movies and sci-fi thrillers had finally begun.
