Description
I have decided to begin a series depicting my home town; home town being the town that I grew up in, and will very very soon be moving away from. This series depicts Saint Albans as I recall it...from my early days to now...not necessarily as anyone else recalls it. Places that hold a special meaning or connection to a certain memory, objects that remind me of life here, anything that makes this the place I grew up...where my life began.I've decided to call this series First Beginnings, as we have many beginnings in our life, but this place was and will always be my first. I haven't decided how many pieces I will create of it...not many probably...there isn't much to this town

Aspirations:
In our society, materialism is conditioned into our lives at a younger and younger age. But, some of our aspirations as a child remain an innocent captivation. Not with possessing, but of a simple fascination with beauty. There is something we lose along the way as interpersonal competition becomes more and more a built in part of our being. The ability to have a non-objective interest in something. As a child it isn't hard to find something more powerful than yourself, with all of the rules and limitations you must submit to. The Corvette was something that I always admired. The power, the sleek body, the sound, there wasn't anything about this car that didn't win my attention everytime it would cruise by. It was the car that eventually sparked my interest in fast sports cars...that has definately with age become a material fascination. Still, a modest one. But in my High School years my friends and I would often stop by this local Corvette showroom to check out the new arrivals and invision ourselves behind the wheel. Another small but always memorable part of my past, and formative part of my present. I hope that you will enjoy this photograph with me, and hopefully it will remind you for a moment of some of your silly childhood fascinations
Full view is always appreciated!
I decided to change this one with another from the shoot, because it captures more of the area, and less of the simple concept.

I like it. It looks symbollic, if you get what I mean - you can tell that it's much more than just a picture of a car.
