Haha this is great. I love the colours, but especially love how it seems like it his perspective of the world. It is like him saying to the viewer, this is me, this is what I see.

Thank you for sharing your reflection of my piece with me; I hadn't completely looked at it in that way until now. As always, it is fascinating how the perspectives of others can open you up to all of the ways in which art can express itself.

Yeah it is interesting the different ways people look at your work. I am glad I can offer you some insight.
And I love the effect the lens gives. At first I thought it was a fisheye lens. But the effect is not great enough to be a fisheye. And yes sometimes the full fish eye effect can be tacky. In your image, the lens gives a subtle effect that really helps to pull off the image.

Thank you (: My shadow was really a large part of the intended concept though...showing two angles of this "first encounter" . Its also, to me at least, part of the interesting dynamic of the wide angle to have a nose so close to the lens be beyond the depth of field to give it a deep and somewhat fluid feel. Thanks (:

I really like the fact that your shadow is included next to the horse's. I agree, it does a nice job of showing a second angle to the encounter that works very well.

The colors are beautiful and I love the long shadows of the horses, however you should have tried keeping your shadow out. A little bit more focus on that horse nose would be a bit better. But a great shot and a nice composition !
