Before I describe the shot I will mention that this was done without a macro lense. The picture wasn't resized at all I just used a 70-200mm lense at 200mm as close as I could get...which wasn't very close...and then cropped this section from the original image. Beyond that no touch-up or anything. So I think it's pretty good considering it's still 100% of the original resolution. No post processing but I did turn on Softening via the in-camera software, because I knew I wouldn't be able to make it any smaller to get a good shot.

These are beautiful insects, but we often only get to see them from a distance. At a close look their magnificence really shows. The beautiful colors, the fragile eloquent wings, and their complex bodies, all make this a marvelous creature. Shot in my driveway Hope you'll enjoy
