New York CityFor my thoughts on the meaning of the shot, my response to one of the comments below seems appropriate:
Busyness is the idea of the shot, so hearing that it's a bit busy is good. The message is just that. A moment of solitude in sodality. Loneliness devoid isolation. The narrow focus on the individual. The blank and silent stares of strangers--neighbors. It's a message of the distant and disconnected nature of civilization. Perhaps an attempted call to the reclamation of community within the city.

I like it..busy? Heck yeah! That's NYC subways..so many souls, yet, one can be so alone.

For what it is worth I like this shot. I is a bit busy but that is what keeps the eyes exploring round the frame.

Thanks Adam. Nice to hear from you :] I really just don't like to mod shots like these...little bits like that actually help to step up and give the shot an identity...a permanent address of sorts. It would help to direct attention to the subject faster though, good notice.
