i love it
i like to take streetskate pictures too, and it IS about the moment, not worrying about how close you are and the cropping and everything.
amazing job, keep it up!

if it's not good enough, you're not close enough. this definatly applies here and cut of that pink border, take a neutral color like white or just use a completly black one.

Thanks for the advice. I always use neutral borders...this was an early experiment from a while back...i've since changed it in my files but i dont change what ive submitted on here. As for the closeness I definately agree...yet I was as close as i could get at that moment. Street photography is about capturing the perfect moment, as this was. It's dynamic. You don't always have the choice to get closer and retake a shot of that moment. Therefor the choice was made to sacrifice a closer shot with this. The sign still adds a sense of depth while the symetry lines play well together. All in all I will have to settle that the only blunt negative aspect of this image is the pink border.

hrm I totally agree with you, streetphotography is just about those moments, so the critique is not really usefull I know. It's just an advice maybe for the future.

Thanks! Seems to be a fairly common feeling about this one. My attempt was that leaving a little chaos in an image enhances the mood of a street photo...but I agree with you.

hey not too shabby man. everything looks pretty good. the only thing i would suggest would be to crop out the back of the sign on the right hand side, it is a little superfluous. other than that good job.

I agree. I decided to keep the original composition as when I took it though...it followed the symetry of the photograph, so didn't bother me too much. Thanks!

This is a nice image ^_^ I love the three poses of the boys. It kind of reminds me of those evolution charts, in a way -- monkey on all fours, monkey standing, monkey's hair disappearing, etc... With these three, it's like going through the motions of skateboarding ^_^ Cool!

Really like this image, the framing of it is perfect, and how it apppears like a gradual decent down the stairs, Great shot

I love the different poses the three of them have. One with skateboard down, one jumping, and one simply carrying it around.
I saw you in the thumbshare so cheers.

Love the movement. Also the three posts (sign, light, and the other thing) are a nice parallel to the three kids. Quite a capture
